Come up with a crazy business idea.
Here’s the situation:
You wake up. Have breakfast. Maybe have a shower. You’re getting dressed. Then… disaster. You open your sock drawer and find that you only have ONE of your lucky blue-and-orange-striped socks. The comfy ones you got from your sister-in-law last Christmas. Where is the other? You need both before you go into your big job interview today! Anxiety strikes. You are frantically hunting, throwing clothes everywhere in a desperate attempt to find that one sock. You’re sweating. You’re breathing heavily. Time – important time – that should have been spent prepping for an interview is instead used up searching for that single sock. You don’t find it.
You arrive at the interview, tired, uninspired, and lacking confidence. The interviewer shakes their head as they look at you. Pathetic.
Your future is, in short, ruined.
Enter: The One Sock Company
Let’s go through the scenario again.
You wake up. Have breakfast. Maybe have a shower. You get dressed and… oh look, there is one of your lucky blue-and-orange-striped socks you got from your sister-in-law last Christmas. But because your sister-in-law is smart, she bought a sock from the One Sock Company! There is only one sock. No need to frantically hunt for the second, because you have all you need right there. You pick another sock at your leisure, any pattern, any colour. Then you continue with your day. You are confident. You are brave. You are creative because your socks are colourful and don’t match.
The interviewer even makes a comment on your fine choice of socks. You make a witty reply. You get the job. You are instantly promoted to CEO. Your future is bright.
The One Sock Company: Don’t despair – there isn’t a pair!
