I was a bit bored of all the Marvel stuff. The films weren’t exciting me anymore. Everything felt the same.
Then I started watching Agatha All Along and something about it just clicked with me. Is it because it is a lot of spooky fun? Is it because we have had two episodes where the characters have all broken out into song? Is it because the cast is fantastic? Is it because I haven’t expected the direction the series has taken? Is it because it has been described as ‘Marvel’s most queer show yet’?
Yes. To all of these. Yes.

I haven’t been this interested in a Marvel television show since Wandavision (and considering this is basically a sequel to that show, I guess it makes sense that I would enjoy this one too).
It breaks away from the standard formula that a lot of the Marvel shows/films take which is ‘hero has to stop bad guy do a bad thing’, over and over and over and over…
Is Agatha a hero? No. In fact, she was a villain in the last tv show. But we are learning a lot more about her – and things are a lot more complicated than they initially seemed. And who is ‘Teen’, who has had a sigil placed on him to hide his identity. Very interesting…
Anyway, most importantly: spooky fun is number one here. It’s a great watch and a lot of fun.
Down, down, down the witches’ road…
See you tomorrow!
