163 days by Hannah Hodgson – a poetry book sent to me to review by the publisher. Who knew you could fit so much emotion between two covers.

Porn by Polly Barton – a non-fiction book picked up a few days ago in a bookshop. A collection of conversations about a topic not often discussed.

Hyperion by Dan Simmons – a sci-fi book given to me by a friend who moved back home to the USA. You know when you read a book and you are like ‘ah, I can see why this is a classic?’. This is one of them.

Monstress, book 1 written by Majorie Lui, art by Sana Takeda – a graphic novel so dense in story, so beautiful in art, that I can only read it in small, magnificent doses. My brain literally aches with joy whenever I stop.

All the things they said we couldn’t have: stories of trans joy by T. C. Oakes Monger – a book for times when a boost of happiness is needed. So sweet. So many smiles.

I don’t put books down because I don’t like them, I put books down because I am feeling so much and I don’t know how to deal with all the emotion.

I’m Rhi

I’m just a writer trying to live slower and be more observant of my feelings.

I am also a bit silly.

This blog is a mishmash of all that.
